THE DETAILED NUMEROLOGY CALCULATION
Numerology is based on deriving numbers from an individuals attributes - in particular their date of birth and their name.
To derive a number from their name the letters of the alphabet have to be assigned numbers which can then be used to calculate their name-numbers.
The following table shows the numbers assigned to the 26 letters of the English alphabet.

Since numerology has derived from the ancient languages there are certain letter combinations that need to be treated in a special manner, these are:-

Modifiers
The middle name provides us with a secondary, or modifying, influence, but the calculation is somewhat different:-

In numerology, all numbers are reduced to the single digits 1 through 9 to get to the Primary Characteristics which represent the major vibration rates associated with people's characteristics.
The secondary characteristics are obtained from the numbers between 10 and 22 from the middle name(s).
Remember that the system being used is based on the 22-letter Hebrew alphabet, so this is where the letters (numbers) from 10 to 22 come in to play

What's in a Name?
Many people are known by one name to their friends, another name to their collegues and yet another to their family.
Christopher Jonathon Thompson is known as Christopher to his family, Chris to his work collegues and Kit to his close friends. How does this affect his relationships with them?
Chris reduces to 5, giving a Character Number of 5 (2 + 5 + 7), and a Personality Number of 3 (5 + 7)
Kit reduces to 4 giving a Character Number of 4 (2 + 4 + 7), and a Personality Number of 2 (4 + 7)

But in this instance we are looking for a number between 10 and 22, so if
the number arrived at is above 22 the additions are continued until it is
below 22. If it falls below 10 the nine is added to give the secondary
number, thus 5 + 9 = 14, giving a secondary number of 14 for this person.
